Based in Virginia Beach but currently license in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Newport News.
What separates your food truck from the rest?
Home of the Original Waffle Burger, steak eggrolls, collard green stuffed wings and award-winning wings.
What did you do before you owned a food truck?
Kelvin was a general manager of a couple restaurants and Army National Guard. Tonya retired Air Force. Together own J&K Style Grill restaurant in Virginia Beach.
What do you like most about having a food truck?
Mobility. The dream was first to own a food truck and then a restaurant but it manifested differently.
Where did the name of your food truck come from?
Extension of our restaurant.
Why did you decide to join HRFTA?
Network, and learn food truck ethics.
Why did you decide to open a food truck/get into the food truck business?
Living the Family dream after retirement (military moves).
